Text: Detection of antibodies aids in the diagnosis of gluten-sensitive enteropathy(GSE), such as celiac disease. A negative result does not rule out celiac disease. The inclusion of tTG IgG autoantibodies is important because it is not uncommon for celiac patients to be IgA deficient. Results of this assay should be used with clinical findings & other tests.
