Text: Oxcarbazepine is an antiepileptic drug, indicated for use as monotherapy or adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial seizures in adults with epilepsy. It is used in adjunctive therapy in epileptic children between the ages of 4-16. Clinically significant hyponatremia can develop during use. This generally occurs during the first 3 months of treatment.
