Instructions: 5.0mL whole blood in original lavender collection tube. Must send within 72hrs of draw. Include a control specimen (5ml, Label control) 2ml min.
Text: Increased lysis in 3 or more concentrations of NaCl indicates increased red cell fragility. If the osmotic fragility test is abnormal, then the band 3 fluorescence staining will be performed at an additional charge.
