Text: Patients at risk for invasive aspergillosis should be tested twice weekly. Those diagnosed with chronic granulomatous disease or Job’s syndrome may yield reduced detection. Reduced sensitivity may occur in patients having concomitant antifungal therapy. Children may have a positive result due to the presence of galactofuranose contained in foods & milk.
