AMS accepts a broad spectrum of tests covering

Our main production
laboratory is open 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week. The majority of testing
is performed on-site
which allows AMS to achieve rapid turnaround
time and produce highly monitored quality results.
Support Services:
Courier System
AMS courier service is available throughout
Kansas and the neighboring states. In the
Wichita area, courier service is provided
to client
offices at various times throughout the
day, as well as responding to client calls
for STAT
pickup and testing. AMS also utilizes contract
couriers who provide regional service to
our clients. These contractors have performed
specimen
pickup services with an extremely high
degree of accuracy, dependability, and
promptness.
Our uniformed couriers are prompt and courteous,
and logistics are established to optimize
specimen integrity from pickup to laboratory
delivery.
Client In-Service Training
When you choose to use AMS for your laboratory
service, the AMS Sales and Service Representative
will conduct in-office training on use
of all AMS forms, specimen preparation and
packaging,
establish courier pickup times, and discuss
our commitment to HIPAA and Compliance.
The AMS representative will also acquaint you
with
the service guide, NCD/LMRP book, and the
various options available for ordering tests
and receiving
reports.
Supplies
All supplies required by the client to refer
testing to AMS are supplied to the client at
no charge. All request forms are preprinted
and contain unique peel-off specimen identification
labels.
Service Guide
The AMS service guide in printed form contains
an extensive listing of tests and the information
associated with each test. The service
guide is also provided in various other formats
such
as CD and on this Web site. The Web site
will generally contain the latest updates and
should
be your preferred method of obtaining accurate
test information.
Specimen Processing
Specimen processing performs all pre-analytical
processes such as determining specimen adequacy
and sample integrity, time stamping arrival
to the laboratory, data order entry, distribution
to test production centers, and specimen archival
and retrieval. This department is continuously
monitored to maximize efficiency and ensure
the accuracy of specimen processing.
Client Service Visitations
Our sales and marketing representative will
periodically or on specific request visit your
facility to handle any concerns or questions
about our service. They will also provide physicians
and staff with any new information about testing
or new tests, and provide the latest information
on compliance and HIPAA issues.
Client Service Center
All service-related issues are continually
monitored by our CSR’s and given immediate
response to your needs. Client service representatives
have full access to the computer system and
can answer questions about specimen requirements,
testing schedules, reference ranges, test
results, supply orders, and any special courier
requirements.
Client services works closely with the sales
and service staff, Pathologists, and all
departments of the laboratory to coordinate
client needs.
Communication of Changes
To keep our clients up-to-date on the ever-changing
laboratory environment, announcements of
new tests, new methodologies, specimen requirements,
compliance, and HIPAA, will be posted to
this
Web site under the appropriate menu. We
will also send written notification of the
above
via courier, billing statement enclosures,
or by mail.
Transmitting Test Reports
Reports can be received by a teleprinter or
fax located in the client office. Couriers
may also deliver results when picking up
specimens. The preferred method of receiving
reports is
via the Internet using the new AMS Lab
Portal connectivity portal. You can view a
